The story
Paul Bill Jr.

For Paul Bill Jr., the story is in the small things: Saturday coffee, the person beside you, the feeling that time is moving a little too fast.
The Detroit-born, Springfield, Illinois–based singer, songwriter and producer turns those moments into soul pop. His music brings the warmth of R&B together with melodies that stay with you—romantic, rhythmic and open enough to let a little vulnerability through.
A husband and father, Paul writes from inside the life he’s living. Love is an everyday presence in these songs: the comfort of being known, the work of growing together, the surprise of still finding something new in someone you love. Faith and family shape that perspective, giving even the brightest grooves something personal to hold onto.

An ongoing conversation
Voice memos.
A life unfolding.
Since 2021, his ongoing voice memos series has given that writing a place to grow. Conceived as a seven-album journey, it follows an artist making sense of love, change and the passing of time as he lives through them. Songs such as “Saturday Coffee,” “cosmic date” and “brown sugar kisses” make the everyday feel worth returning to.
Paul carries that same invitation onto the stage. He has performed for more than 2,500 people at Levitt AMP Springfield, opened for Morris Day and The Time at a Juneteenth celebration, and brought his music to Daytime Chicago. A sold-out hometown welcome-home concert following tour brought the journey back to the community he calls home.
Those moments are part of a larger story: an independent artist building a lasting connection, one song and one room at a time. Whether you find him through a love song on your phone or a chorus you sing back at a show, there’s a place for you in it.
